For some of you it has been a long time in the waiting to see if SSM would stay as SSM. Well we are finally able to announce this and let everyone know what's going on. Yes we will be staying SSM. But no longer will we be StreetSceneMag.com but we have now changed to StreetSourceMag.com. Although we have all come to love our community; out of this turn of events we can now be rest assured that what we have is ours and ours only. As a community we are here to share this ecstatic occasion with each and every one of you. We ask that everyone that has a link to us please update your websites with the new banners and address to help make a smoother transition. What better of an issue to release this information to you other then our Anniversary issue. That's right, this issue marks our one-year anniversary of SSM! This past year we have brought tons of people together and feel that we have helped the scene tremendously. I have never seen so many different clubs get along as well as they have during shows and events then this past year. Kris and I both feel our goal this whole time was to bring the customizing scene together to better our hobby/sport/life. Although we are just beginning, we would like to thank everyone for his or her support thus far. It has been nothing short of a learning experience. We are looking forward to bringing everyone many many more years of nothing but kick ass show and feature coverage. With this in mind, we bring this issue back to our true form. Although our past few issues have been minimal in coverage whether it was show or feature coverage, we start out our 1 year anniversary right were we started in the very beginning. We are filling this issue with 6 features and 6 shows. We didn't want you to miss a thing so covering shows from coast to coast will please everyone in this issue.

May 2000, Craig Elder's badass Chevy Astro van graced our cover. Well our anniversary addition display's yet another Craig Elder special. I have yet to see something that he has built that has not left me in awe. I first met Craig back in 1996 when he was yet but a child. I believe he was around 16 or so and with a phat lifted Chevy fullsize, which was on the cover of 4x4 magazines. 5 years later it's nice to see he is keeping true to form. There are many people in the scene today who feel you must have money to build anything magazine worthy. I know first hand that isn't the case. Back in '95 while building my Blazer I had little money but good intentions. Sometimes it takes a lot of little things to make the big picture. You build your first project correctly and keep a good track record in the industry, which will help pull sponsors when it comes to your next ride. Everything in life takes time; it is those with enough patients to utilize that little time here and there that excel in our industry. We will be sending out a newsletter informing each and everyone of you of the exact issue in regards to the name change.Till next month, keep the support afloat!
