How ya'll is? It's September, lots of cool things go on this time of year...my birthday, school starts and the saddest thing of all, show season is winding down. I hope that everyone had an extremely fruitful show season and pulled awards at every one they entered! Well, last month was my club, Explicit Concepts, show, Toppin' It All Off 2001. The pre-party was the shiz and the show had some of the cleanest rides in Texas, even though it rained! We even had some folks come a helluva long way to party with us...Justin from our Tennessee chapter, Donnie (chillinlikeavillain) from Bay City Customs in Mobile, Bob (NissanHeaven) with Flawless Kreations from Mobile and Stevie (Stevie is his sign on too..) from Useless Minis in Pensacola. Stevie, my yard still thanks you for the fertilzing... you know I'm not gonna let you live it down, but I still love ya bro! Anyways, last month I let ya'll see some questions and answers from people who are movers, shakers and just plain old playas in our sport of minitruckin', so I'm going to go ahead and let ya'll see the answers of the last 5 questions I asked them... 5. What do you think is the best thing to come along for us mini-truckers since chrome double wipers and neon colored spinners? LM - You said neon spinners! I thought those were used to scramble eggs on long drives to out-of-state shows! Honestly, air bags and large diameter wheels are probably the biggest boon to cleaner, better looking rides. -I can't even remember the last time I saw a 15-inch wheel on anything...with a bed on it anyway. MF - Ive always been kind of partial to 15-inch Weds GS rims. I want someone to build me a set of 20's and I will then single handedly bring that style of rim back to greatness!! And chrome gas doors too! Lol. GA - Body drops, Big wheels and crazy paint. Although those chrome double wipers where the shit! CC - HEY I still like them things...lol.. but in my own opinion the big ol' billet rims, more cool bolt on accessories for trucks, and just people them selves or shops learning how to do crazier mods. BF - I would say custom ideas are the best.....not just the typical notch and stamped out bag brackets but the fact that MOST trucks out there now all are done different so not many are alike......its good to see creativity out there.

6. Where do YOU see minitruckin as a sport in 10 years? LM - I see it being bigger than the droves of rice racers that have devoured the country over the past few years. Especially if the gas prices continue to rise. Mini-truckers are the street rodders of the new millennia. Now, if they can only act the part without being destructive morons...we might have a chance! MF - We will all be a lot fatter while still trying to squeeze our butts into trucks that are too small for us. GA - Damn it's hard to see what is going to be hitting the scene in the next 2 years let alone 10. Maybe the neon spinners and fender trim will be the cool thing again...haha CC - I can see it, big fat ass dudes w/long gray ass goatees, rolling in little body dropped trucks (barely fitting in there, jamming some Papa Roach, PSSSS!!! dragging the damn ground all up, and stopping and telling the young ones: "WHO YOU CALL OL' SCHOOL BITCH!!!" (Well maybe that would be a little longer than 10 years, but it would be something like that.. -lol) BF - Wow what a question. I would say as we grown as a sport more of the ideas from Hot Rods will be used as well as people being more creative and coming up with more crazy ideas to use. I see the sport always growing in size and hopefully that will generate more magazines, better coverage, larger shows, and more FUN!!7. What is YOUR take on the loss of big West Coast shows, such as Reso, and can anything take it's place? LM - It's a sad change of events, but it was inevitable with the way that mini-truckers were beginning (and still are in many cases) acting. There's no reason to destroy an area in the name of "fun". This isn't fun and only serves to make people hate everyone with lowered pickups, even those people (the majority) who choose to cruise at a more sane level. I say, let the village idiots drive full sizes, not minis! -Who's with me???!!!!???
